Super Hotel Nara Yamato Koriyama works differently from a station-door city hotel. The operator places it at 205-1 Sugicho, around five minutes by car from JR or Kintetsu Koriyama and around nine minutes by car from Koriyama Interchange. Its value for a Nara itinerary is the combination of a compact room, guest hot spring, included breakfast and surface parking. Travellers without a car should plan the station-to-hotel leg deliberately. A booking is date- and room-specific: no static MyNara price, vacant-room claim or guaranteed parking space can replace the operator's reservation screen.
Choose this property for the travel pattern it serves
This is the Sugicho branch, not one of Super Hotel's several Nara city properties. The hotel presents itself as a roadside base and lists parking for 77 cars on a first-come basis, free from 15:00 until 10:00 the next morning. The operator estimates five minutes by car from both Koriyama railway stations; its gallery describes a walk of roughly 25 minutes from Koriyama Station, while Visit Nara describes about 23 minutes from Kintetsu Tsutsui. These are not the same station or route. When arriving with luggage after dark, check a current taxi or walking route from the station actually used; the map point is a property reference, not an entrance or accessible-route survey.
Match the room layout to the guests
The operator's gallery lists a standard room at 12 square metres with a 150-by-200-centimetre bed and one-to-two-person occupancy. A 'Super Room' uses the same stated floor area, adding a 90-centimetre-wide loft bed. The gallery also names an accessible room but gives no doorway, bathroom, lift or turning-circle measurements. A party needing step-free facilities must ask for a specific room's measurements before reserving; a generic accessible-room label is not enough. The room gallery lists Wi-Fi, refrigerator, kettle, air purifier and a unit bath. Pillows and pyjamas are collected from the lobby, with some choices limited in stock.
Build the evening and breakfast around stated hours
The hotel lists separate men's and women's natural hot-spring baths, usually available 15:00–09:00 next morning. It says the outdoor bath belongs to the women's side on Saturdays; confirm the current arrangement if that detail affects the stay. The breakfast buffet is listed as included, with baked bread and salad; it runs 06:30–08:30 Monday to Saturday and 06:30–09:00 Sunday and holidays. Its welcome bar advertises soft drinks 15:00–21:00 and alcohol 17:00–21:00, subject to change. These are hotel service windows, not a guarantee that a specific food, drink or bath feature will be available on a chosen date. Dietary restrictions and accessible bathing facilities need direct confirmation.
Check in on the booked plan, not a directory price
The operator states check-in from 15:00 and check-out by 10:00. The prefectural directory gives an older 15:00–24:00 check-in range, but the current branch page reviewed here does not independently confirm a final arrival cut-off; notify the hotel of late arrival. Room prices, tax treatment, breakfast inclusion for a particular offer, cancellation terms and vacancy depend on the date and plan shown during booking. The hotel's general site displays cash, cards and QR options but warns that accepted methods can differ by property, so verify the selected method with the branch. The operator's FAQ says booking inventory is normally released six months ahead, which does not itself guarantee an available room.
Check the Friday Kingyo Bath and November smoking change
The hotel currently advertises every Friday as Kingyo Bath day at its natural hot spring. This is an announced recurring guest programme, not a guarantee of public day-use access; the notice does not state whether non-guests may enter, whether there is an extra fee, or exactly how the goldfish theme is presented. Ask the branch about the booked night's operation and access. Separately, a notice dated 19 May 2026 says all guest rooms become non-smoking on 20 November 2026. As checked on 27 October this is still a future change, so confirm the booked room's smoking status and any separate smoking area.
