Gose-no-Sato is a regional exchange facility within Gose-minami Parking Area on the Keinawa Expressway. It combines a farm-produce and local-goods shop, a food court and visitor information under one roof. The city explicitly says residents can enter from ordinary roads too, so it is more than an expressway-only convenience stop. For a visitor crossing from Nara's basin toward Yoshino or Gojo, it offers a chance to compare local rice, vegetables, sweets and other specialities before continuing, while the one-way road layout makes the exit route as important as the arrival.
Browse produce and local goods with the season
Gose City describes a farm-produce and speciality-products corner; its own promotion site says local growers bring vegetables and fruit, including less common Gose persimmons and sweet potatoes when available. A city brochure illustrates persimmon-leaf sushi, Nara pickles, local sake and products from nearby Yoshino, but that brochure is an example of the range at its issue date, not a promise of today's shelves. Read product labels for origin, alcohol, allergens, refrigeration and export restrictions. The rest-stop shop is one section of this facility, not a separate MyNara destination.
Eat at the food court, then check the actual dish
The city's promotion page highlights kamo-don, a rice bowl with local Yamato duck, Gose-grown Hinohikari rice, soft egg and grated yam. It also describes kudzu-thickened udon and hojicha soft serve as examples from the regional menu. The municipal brochure shows other dishes, but menus, ingredients, prices and stock change by season. Duck and egg mean the featured bowl is not vegetarian; udon and sauces may contain other allergens. Ask the counter about the current menu and dietary needs rather than relying on an older brochure or photograph.
Use different hours for the shop and meals
The current Kintetsu Retailing listing gives 08:00–20:00 for the goods shop and 11:00–20:00 for the food court, with a 19:30 last order. It lists credit cards and transport IC payment for the shop but does not establish that every food-court counter accepts the same methods. The city identifies the address as 533 Muro and the facility number as 0745-62-1800. Confirm holiday opening, specific counter hours, menu prices and accessible services with the operator before making a detour. The parking-area building can be entered without a separately advertised museum or admission fee; purchases are charged individually.
Follow the right road for your direction
The city's detailed access page matters more than a straight line on the map. From Route 309, turn north under the expressway, then follow the marked side road. Northbound expressway traffic can use the Gose-minami PA exit; southbound drivers must leave at Gose-minami Interchange and approach by the side road. The city warns that this is a partial interchange: do not assume you can re-enter directly for Wakayama-bound southbound travel. It gives a separate route via Route 309, Route 24 and Gojo-kita IC. The side road is one-way in places, so follow current signs rather than reversing at an entrance.
Reach the PA by the city bus, with a narrow timetable
Gose City's current community-bus leaflet includes a stop named Gose-no-Sato on the east loop, connecting it to Kintetsu Gose Station. The leaflet lists four clockwise calls at 09:09, 12:01, 15:23 and 18:10, and four counter-clockwise calls at 09:33, 12:27, 15:49 and 18:35. These are the published scheduled times, not a live guarantee; the city notes inspection-related non-service days and provides a bus-location system. Check the latest leaflet and real-time service before travelling, and plan the return before the food court's listed 20:00 close. The stop is at the facility; the map point does not identify the exact boarding position or step-free route.
