Finish a Nara writing brush with Tanaka
Shape a brush tip or assemble its shaft and tip with a Nara craftsperson, then take the finished brush home.

The maker's short workshop concentrates on the final steps of a traditional Nara writing brush. In the shorter course, participants use funori glue and tools to shape the tip; in the longer course, they first prepare the shaft for the tip. This is a booked teaching session in a small working shop, not a drop-in demonstration of every production stage. Published course prices conflict across the maker, prefecture and city, so request a current total when applying.
