At Ikeda Gankodo, visitors can make a fan under the guidance of a local specialist. The experience gives a closer look at the patterned paper and bamboo-rib construction seen in the shop's finished Nara fans. It is a small-group reservation rather than a walk-in demonstration. The newly finished fan cannot be carried away that day: arrange a collection about a week later or pay for delivery, and clarify overseas shipping before booking if your trip is short.
